Bonjourno! FRIDAY. We usually don’t have class on Fridays but we started on a Thursday so this week we have Friday classes. Our second class we went to the pantheon to ask tourists questions about how they planned their trip to Rome and what attracted them here. I was surprised by how many people looked American because of how they dress, but were not. Many older people wouldn’t speak to us, but the younger ones were more willing. We then went into the Pantheon which was really neat. I love all the history in Rome.
After a quick trip back to the apartment to freshen up we had a tour at Vatican City. We saw a wedding ending at a church right by the Vatican and watched the bride and groom walk out it was so fun and cute!! Can you imagine having your wedding there? You would feel like a princess.

I LOVED the Basilica. I think it is my favorite thing I’ve seen so far. It is just so incredibly breathtaking. There is so much detail. I wish I could have spent more than 15 minutes inside to take everything in. I really recommend going right before it closes because it wasn’t crowded at all. We then went to the Vatican museum. It was kind of a hassle getting through all the people outside. Also we all made the mistake of not eating before because we went during dinner time. So we all got kind of hangry and tired. I would have liked to spend more time in the museum because we had to move so fast I didn’t really get any information. The Sistine Chapel was UNBELIAVABLE truly amazing.

After we went to grazia e graziella which is my favorite restaurant we have been to. I got a spinach and ricotta ravioli and devored it. The waiter was also really funny and joked with how we pronounced things. It was one of our roommates birthdays so he brought her a tiramisu with a sparkler and sang Happy Birthday very loud. We got some looks from Italian families eating nearby. I also split the tiramisu and it was incredible. 10/10 recommend this place. It was really late after dinner so we walked back and went to bed.

I am honestly so grateful to be here and seeing and experiencing everything. My roommates and I have gotten really close it couldn’t have worked out better. Can’t wait for another amazing 5 weeks!
