  >  Europe   >  Rome day 2 (Jewish Ghetto)

Hey guys! One thing about living in the apartments we have is that there are these intense shutters over the doors which are the only type of window we have. There are three rooms and each one has a balcony. If you do not set your alarm you will NOT wake up because it is so dark in the rooms. Needless to say, we woke up pretty late.

Our leaders then took us around to a couple of lunch places around our University because we have a two hour class then a lunch break then another two hour class.

I decided to get lunch at the sandwich shop where you can get made to order sandwiches. I got one with pesto, prosciutto, mozzarella, and tomatoes. THE BEST SANDWHICH I’VE EVER HAD.

We then all went on a group tour all over, but focused on the Jewish Ghetto and ended at the Pantheon.

Inside this building there is a fountain made famous by the movie Roman Holiday. It is like a lions mouth or something and there is some rumor of what happens when you put your hand in its mouth.

A few things we saw on the tour.

We then got our first gelato from a place called Dolce it originally caught my eye because of the macaroons. I got coffee and tiramisu. Yum.

We then went back and took a nap and just kind of chilled out. We got pizza from a place down the street togo because we were all so tired. We had a situation later in the night which was a little scary, but ended up being okay. Hopefully it will be the only bad experience of the trip! Everything has been okay since… I don’t want to get into the details.
